遊びを通して協同学習する
英会話講師として長年日本人の子供達に英語を教えてきて、赤ちゃんがどのように新しい言葉を習得し会話できるようになるのか大変興味を持つようになりました。
最近の研究（ワシントン大学パトリシア・クール教授等による）では、新しい言葉や発音を聞き取れる最も適した時期は幼少期であるという結果が出てい ます。テレビやCDから聞き取るのではなく、英語のネイティブスピーカーから直接聞き取ることがより習得できるというのです。その理由から、 playtime™ を始めるきっかけとなりました。

イマジン語学スタジオの playtime™ ではこの考えに基づき、「遊びを通して協同学習をする」を構成しています。ヴィゴツキーは世界的に影響力のある心理学者で、子供達の会話学習について研究を重ねています。その結果、協同で遊びながら学ぶことが鍵となり重要であると解いたのです。子供が自ら経験し、学ぶことが大切だと論じています。
playtime™ ではアクティビティ（ダンスや歌、読書など触って見て覚えること）を通じ、何度も何度も同じことを反復することで、最終的にはひとりでできるようになる能力が身につくようレッスンを組み立てています。対話、協同、反復をキーワードに、子供達の感性、体、心を刺激します。

imagine* playtime™ is all about interaction and learning through play.
As English teachers with many years’ experience of teaching Japanese children, we have become very interested in how infants acquire new language skills. Researchers, such as Patricia Kuhl at the University of Washington, have found that children are at their most receptive to new sounds and pronunciation when they are babies, and that they learn much more from interacting with people rather than from the TV or CDs. For these reasons it seemed a natural step to begin ‘playtime™’ lessons at imagine*.

imagine* playtime™’s format and activities have been created using the theories of Lev Vigotsky as a guide. He was an influential psychologist, and much of his work was concerned with children’s development with regards to language acquisition. Vigotsky considered play and social interaction as key components in children’s understanding of the world and their ability to communicate, and he believed that children learn by experiencing things first hand. With activities, songs and repetition we can instil confidence in children and encourage them to learn and flourish independently.
Interaction, collaboration and repetition are the key ideas behind imagine* playtime™ – stimulating children’s senses, their bodies and minds. Above all imagine* playtime™ is fun, and what better way is there to learn?
Group lessons for infants
ベビークラス（幼児向け）レッスン
１グループは最大５名までのグループレッスン、決められた曜日に毎週１回、１コース計15レッスンを受講いただく形式となります。なお、必ず保護者（一名）同伴にてご参加いただきます。
対象： 6ヶ月〜3歳の幼児を対象とします。
レッスン： 40分（1レッスン）×15レッスン
※自転車でお越しの方には駐輪場無料サービス券を、お車でお越しの方には駐車場無料サービス券をお渡しします。

ベビークラス体験レッスンは通常のベビークラスレッスンにご参加いただきます。なお、必ず保護者（一名）同伴にてご参加いただきます。
